W1A and Call the Midwife, Season 9
Tea Time Tidbit for the week of March 23, 2020
If laughter is the best medicine, then there is no better time than now to be tuning into Afternoon Tea. Our 3:30pm comedy, Hold the Sunset, will be concluding on Wednesday, March 25th and I think you’ll enjoy its replacement – W1A.
W1A, is named after the partial zip code (W1A 1AA being the full zip code) of Broadcasting House, the headquarters of our beloved BBC, where Hugh Bonneville stars as Ian Fletcher, the Corporation’s “Head of Values”. W1A runs weekday afternoons at 3:30pm.
Call the Midwife Season 9
On Sunday, March 29th at 8pm, be sure to tune into MPT for the return of Call the Midwife. The first episode in this, the ninth season, focuses on an outbreak of diphtheria and finding the mother of an abandoned baby. All of our favorite midwives are back and the show has now moved into the mid-1960s. It was a time of great change. Budgets are being cut, hospitals reorganized and wrecking balls are everywhere. It’s not only the row houses being demolished, so too are traditional family structures. For the midwives and medics of Nannatus House, despite advances in healthcare, their jobs have become even harder.
You can see Call the Midwife at 8pm on Sundays, starting next Sunday, March 29.
