The Great British Baking Show
celebrates Christmas!

Christmas is a time for passing out the treats and we’ve got some programming treats with a British flair coming up that you won’t want to miss!

The Great British Baking Show, which airs at 9pm on Monday, December 24th, is especially treat-filled! Judges Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood will be instructing you on how to make a perfect mince pie, a delicious Christmas pudding and a traditional British Christmas cake, along with other tasty treats for the holiday season.

On Tuesday, December 25th, at 9pm it’ll be time for the annual Call the Midwife Holiday Special – this is the 90-minute-long festive episode that will have aired in the U.K. just a few hours previously. In the episode, you can see what happens when a new nun and four Chinese orphans arrive unexpectedly at Nonnatus House. Miriam Gargoyles plays the newcomer, Sister Mildred. There will also be two other new cast members, Fenella Woolgar, who will play Sister Hilda and Ella Bruccoleri, who will play Sister Frances. More new cast members will crop up in the new eight-episode season, which will start airing at the end of March.

The Keeping Up Appearances Christmas Special

On December 26th and 27th at 2:30pm, we’ll have two Keeping Up Appearances Christmas Specials. The first is one that originally aired in 1991 and the second aired in 1995.

That’s just a little of what’s ahead this Christmas on MPT!
